I'm graduating too but I get to log in three times a week when it comes to gym time.
my classes are 7am to 7pm. training time is 7pm-9pm. there is always heavy traffic on the way to the gym that makes me more or less 30 minutes late during trainings.
Your instructor doesn't like tardiness?
yeah. tardiness is a no-no for them.

hey guys Im new here... I've been training for MMA about a year na.. I started with boxing then muay thai, lately grappling. Our sparring is done in full mma but only half the power baka kc magakasakitan ng husto... Anyway just want to ask how does one activate the aggressiveness during the sparring? I notice that whenever we have sparring I feel im not in full aggressiveness, in that way ako pa ang tinatamaan madalas. any comment?

i don't think "aggression" is your problem. you're probably just scared. just log in more sparring time. full contact, as much as possible.

most people would like to train like that. if you have the balls for it, by all means do it. find a split that would be optimal for you (i.e. roadwork and conditioning in the morning, skill training in the evening.) however, make sure you get adequate rest, and sessions should only be 30 to 150 minutes long. that's what i think. and you need to pay extra attention to your diet to fuel your engine for that kind of work.

Oh ok. I guess I could handle it. So conditioning in the morning, skills training in the evening. Could I do the conditioning training with strength training afterwards?

if you do it right, i think you'd be too tired for strength training if you do conditioning first. i personally put them on separate days.

i've been training as a striker more often than not. if i were given eight weeks to train for a fight, i'd train like so:

Monday to Saturday training. reserve Sundays for rest, stretching, or yoga.
always keep a log (training and diet).

WEEK 1
depussyfication. start going to the gym for 5-6 days, and start roadwork for 3-4 days. work on starting strength.

WEEKS 2 and 3
regular programming. 6 days of gym time, 4-6 days of roadwork (time intervals) weekly. begin sparring. improve maximal strength. eating more to fuel energy needs. should be around 10 pounds to fighting weight.

WEEKS 4 and 5
take it up a notch. 6 days of gym time, 6 days of roadwork (3 sprint workouts) per week. live sparring 3 times a week. work on explosive power. diet modifications for optimal performance.

WEEKS 6 and 7
cranking the intensity. 6 days of gym time, 6 days of roadwork (3 days distance intervals) weekly. hard sparring 3 times a week. work on explosive conditioning. monitor heart rate.

WEEK 8
recovery week. do not experiment with anything new. stick to your program. constantly monitor weight. light training starting 3-5 days before fight night. mental preparation. no sparring. rest completely the day before the fight.

that's what i would do anyway.

i think it would be better to improve your aerobic base before jumping in to strength & conditioning. a week of running, then a week of running with some sprints added. machete is already doing mma, his body's already used to the wear & tear of training i suppose. maybe 4x a week would be good for someone who's just starting out in mma. & yes, machete's right. diet is half the battle.
